Counseling Services
Here, at the Delaware Institute for Reproductive Medicine, PA, we understand how stressful fertility and its treatment can be. Effective coping strategies not only improve a person’s well-being, but also increase the chances of success in treatment. For this reason, we offer counseling services to all of our patients as an adjunct to their fertility care.
Counseling services are designed to:
Help you cope with the stress of infertility
Give you the tools to help you navigate through the emotional stressors of the treatment
Help you improve relationships with your family and friends
Facilitate problem solving and decision making skills
Offer you a safe and therapeutic place to discuss your feelings and concerns
Provide couples counseling and couples support
We recommend all patients undergoing fertility treatment meet with a counselor. Counseling is particularly recommended for those patients using: In Vitro Fertilization; donor services such as donor egg, embryo or sperm; patients who have experienced recurrent pregnancy loss; patients with a diagnosis of multiple pregnancy; patients who must end treatment without a pregnancy; or, for couples who are experiencing stress in their relationship as a result of infertility and/or its treatment.
Please call today to schedule an appointment for counseling services. You will meet with Carol Cronin, MS, LPC, who uses a holistic approach to help patients along their journey through fertility treatments.
